Outgrowing a historic but no longer functional building on the edge of town, this important community gathering space is now in the geographic center of Piermont and is provided with all the amenities of a modern library. The building frames expansive views of the Hudson River.
Traditional materials and massing are intended to be in harmony with the fabric and scale of the historic river town, yet the library “reads” as a distinctive and public building.
